San Antonio-based GulfTex Energy LLC is preparing to drill an oil well in Karnes County six months after it sought its last well permit.

GulfTex is seeking permission from the Railroad Commision of texas to drill a well 1.5 mmiles north on Karnes Ccity. If approved, it would be the first permit for GulfTex since it sought to drill on a different lease in Karnes County in April.
